The hall will not be reserved until the contract is signed and payment has been made. 50% of payment due is required at the time the contract is signed.
The balance is to be paid in full 30 days prior to the event. It is your responsibility to remember to make full payment. If the event is scheduled within 30 days of the date of the event, the full balance will be due at the time the contract is signed.
Renter only has access to the hall during the contracted dates as agreed upon by rented parties and hall coordinator, any additional days requested will be required to pay additional single day fee.
In addition to the rental fee a separate damage deposit (see above pricing) is required at the time the contract is signed. This check is returned if there are no damages, if rental contract is followed, and if key card is returned within a week of the event.
Renter will be required to pay for any damage over deposit amount at a rate of $100/hr. and material costs. This will be communicated with the responsible party after repairs have taken place.
Canceling fees are as follows - more than 90 days will result in a full refund less a $100 admin fee, 30-90 days will result in a 50% refund, NO REFUND for cancellations with 30 days of event.
All rescheduling requests will be processed at a fee of $100 per request.
All kitchen and bar items used must be cleaned and put away.
No items are allowed to be removed from the hall.
Renters are allowed to use refrigerator and freezer space only during rented dates listed on contract.
Renters are not allowed to use table linens.
The following items are not allowed to be used in the hall - helium balloons, staple guns, nails, push pins, duct tape, shipping tape or any other material that will cause damage to any area of the hall.
NO SMOKING allowed on the hall property.
NO open flames or candles are allowed within any area of the hall.
In accordance with Iowa State Law, no alcoholic beverages will be sold on the premises without first obtaining the proper liquor license (must be obtained through the State of Iowa) and the necessary Dram Shop Insurance.
If selling alcohol - a minimum of $1 million in liability coverage is required. Saint Patrick’s Parish and the Archdiocese of Dubuque must be named as additional insurance parties. Questions regarding this policy can be directed to Rich Earles, Claims Manager for the Archdiocese of Dubuque ph. # 563-552-0168 or 563-542-1540.
No self-serve alcoholic beverages are allowed. The party who has signed the contract will be responsible for providing bartenders of legal age. The Hall Coordinator will provide the party signing the contract with a copy of the Risk Reduction Measures.
The party who signs the contract is responsible for the removal and proper disposal of all opened and unopened alcoholic containers, bottles, cans, etc.…IMMEDIATELY following the event.
The party who signs the contract is responsible for ensuring compliance with all policies stated above and with any applicable federal, state, and local laws.
The tables and chairs used must be cleared and cleaned and put away.
Floor spills must be cleaned up immediately to prevent damage to the floor.
Entryways and bathrooms must be cleared and cleaned.
All floors must be swept and mopped (where needed).
Absolutely no chairs, tables or items belonging to St. Patrick Hall can be removed from the hall. (damage / deposit fee will be cashed if any items are removed from hall)
All events are to end no later than 12:00am.
All items not belonging to St. Pat’s must be removed immediately following event.
Wedding parties will have access to the hall on Friday at 8:00 am until Sunday at 12:00pm.
An exception to this would be in the case of a parishioner’s funeral. A parishioners’ funeral dinner will take precedence but the party who signed the contract will be made aware of this no later than the prior Wednesday. If a funeral dinner needs to be scheduled for Friday, the wedding party may take possession on Friday at 2:00pm. If a funeral takes precedence, the renting party will be given an adjustment for the timeframe between Friday 8:00am and Friday 2:00pm.
We are a small community and take pride in our parish and facility. Please be sure to respect our neighbors by keeping the outside noise level to a minimum as well as respecting their property and lawn.
